Inspired by the work of Viola Spolin (originator of Chicago's Second City), this class will use theatre games and improvisation to build stories, an ensemble of players, and a culminating performance piece for family and friends. Get ready to explore physicalization – the art of showing and not telling, spontaneity – a moment of explosion, intuition – unhampered knowledge beyond the sensory equipment – physical and mental, audience – an integral part of the game, not just the lonely “looke-onners,” and transformation – actors and audience alike receive the appearance of a new reality!
Whether you have been a performer your whole life, or this is your first acting class, you will be able to build upon your skills and build new friendships!
