A course designed for the experienced designer and hobbyist maker alike. In this course, participants will learn to draw using Computer Aided Design software to produce parts with a CNC (Computer Numeric Controlled) router. Starting with simple 2 dimensional drawings to create 3 dimensional constructions.

Design puzzles, boxes, containers, toys, and assemblies while learning to work in VCarve Pro , the CAD language which controls our commercial grade CNC machines. Participants may use their own PCs or check out a laptop from the Museum.

This will be a 4 or 5 week course run on Thursday nights from 6 – 9 pm, plus a 1 hour one-on-one machine time session on Saturday or Sunday November 18 or 19th. This Sat/Sun session will be signed up for in the class.

Each participant will be provided with one sheet of 24" x 48" x 1/2" Ultra Lite MDF.
