For Families

Build a Unicorn, Dragon, or Penguin with a hole in the middle. Why the hole? Watch the egg tumble in his tummy when he rolls along. Or a Cement Truck!
A truly satisfying toy for absolutely everyone.

Please choose one of the following for your party:
Unicorn
Dragon
Penguin
Truck

We are accustomed to teaching with a model in front of a child, but these instructions should make it so that anyone can build one without our presence. We urge that parents and teachers be there to guide – but to allow the child to try to let the materials (and a picture of the final product) guide them. A wrong direction is always un-doable until you've glued something.

The Parts. No Glue Needed.

Step 1. There are two axles for the Penguin, Unicorn, Dragon. And there are three for the Cement Truck. Why? Because there are 4 wheels for the Penguin, Unicorn and Dragon and 6 wheels for the Cement Truck.

Put a wheel on one side of the axle, push it through the hole at the bottom of the project, and push the other wheel onto the other side. The hole for the axle is generous so that the axle will turn.

The wheels should be tight on the axles (you may really have to push, or it may be easy – (the frustration of imprecise parts but we all must work with it...).

The wheels should be pushed in close to the body of the project so that the egg will roll on top of them. If the wheels are too loose, put the black O rings onto the axles to hold them in place.

The Penguin has wings that go over the shorter dowels at the top of the body. Use the O rings to hold them on. They flap when he moves.

NOW. Decorate!
