Designed at the MIT MediaLab, Scratch is a free web-based programming language that allows you to create your own interactive stories, animations, games, music, and art - and share your creations on the web.
After determining the number of beginners the number of students familiar with Scratch, instructors will divide the group up to offer either beginning/intermediate instruction or more sophisticated challenges to those who may be quite familiar with Scratch. Some may even move on to more advanced programming languages. That will be determined by the makeup of the group.
This class is designed for 10 – 14 year olds only.
