Vacation Program

  • Monday, November 12, 2012
  • 3:00 am – 3:00 pm
  • Designed for ages 10 and up

Designed at the MIT MediaLab, Scratch is a free programming language that allows you to create your own interactive stories, animations, games, music, and art - and share your creations on the web. Instructors Buck Bailey and Alex Tavares will bring their special expertise to teach beginners and non-beginners alike.

For returning students, the challenges offered will depend on your current level of skill with Scratch. Once you've mastered this program, you can move on to Alice, another free web-based programming language that goes further beyond Scratch's limits. But those are distant limits.
