Arvind Gupta is a science educator in India. He works from a science center in Pune near Mumbai on India's western shore. As a young educator, he realized that play prepares the mind for science if the right tools and toys are available. He knew that many children have little to experiment with. He dedicated his life to inventing simple ways to capture big ideas. He has inspired followers who have added to his remarkable designs.
Each day: begin with some clever, quick warm-up projects. Work out one classic, artful experiment to take home. then join a small group to work on an exciting project for our Science Playground. The week includes work powered by water, wind, gravity, batteries, magnets and imagination. Though the experiments are universal, learn to notice the small touches that reflect the flavor and culture of India.
