Adam Leventhal : making software productive
Adam graduated from Brown in computer science. He now designs software for Sun Microsystems. Suns Solaris 10 operating system, launched this November, is the third force in a world dominated by Microsoft and Linux. Adam and two other engineers developed DTrace, a tool in which The New York Times saw hope for Suns success in retaking Wall Street.
DTrace: imagine a very large marble wall only with 10,000 marbles. DTrace finds bottlenecks and reroutes marbles. Only none ever hit the floor.
