Designed at the MIT Media Lab, Scratch is a free web-based programming language that allows you to create your own interactive stories, animations, games, music and art - and share your creations on the web. You'll learn all the basics, like drawing and animating characters, or 'sprites', adding sound, and movement.

A Beginner is anyone 8 - 9 yrs who has not yet learned Scratch or has only had 1 class before and wants to refresh their beginning skills.

Using Scratch, MIT's web-based programming language, we will pay tribute to yesterday's hits by breaking them down into their component
art, sounds, and mechanics - and building something new. We can make them bigger, harder, better. We have the technology.

(10+ year old - Some experience necessary.)

Learn the principles of 3D design using the simple but powerful web-based tools TinkerCAD and 123D Design to prototype your ideas, then print your models in plastic with our MakerBot 3D printer. Gear up for the school year with customized pencil toppers, backpack zipper pulls, or rulers.
