You likely know more about digital tools than about the earliest and most basic hand tools. Those tools are still essential and take time to master. Devote a day to skills that will last you a lifetime.

Build your own tool box. Equip it will safety goggles, a hammer, a coping saw, glue and nails. Then learn techniques and tricks to develop your skills with each tool. Practice driving and pulling small and large nails. Learn the names and purposes of the basic nails. learn to cut along straight and curved lines.

Then, cut and assemble pieces into a simple sculpture.
