Exploration requires imagination.

Venus is a hostile planet. Temperatures can reach 842 degrees F. Her atmospheric pressure is 90 times greater than Earth's. To match these near impossible conditions, NASA's engineers have to consider the wisdom of uninhibited imaginations.

Consider Theo Jansen's Strandbeasts. Jansen, a Dutch artist, constructs wind-powered multi-legged creatures that walk across beaches. Could Venusian winds move an AREE (Automaton Rover for Extreme Environments) to explore Venus?

Construct and test our battery-powered Jansen Rover. NASA has not made up its mind yet. There is still time and challenges for your imagination to solve.
