This year we honor 4 books whose images and words challenge us to think fresh and deep about how we get along. See and hear all four stories. Then choose projects to recreate and add to these stories. construct a lion and a duck who discover they can be best friends. Or construct a porcupine…(spoiler alert – it's not easy to be prickly). Or construct a Knight and Ogre who discover that Walls might spoil friendships. Or make masks to become a feelings detective. A day of hearing, seeing, exploring, and playing to learn.

How To Be a Lion by Ed Vere, Doubleday.
The Wall in the Middle of the Book by Jon Agee, Dial/Penguin.
Elmore by Holly Hobbie, Random House.
Why the Face? by Jean Julien, Phaidon Press.

Fee: $65
