2010 Summer Program

English scientist Neil A. Downie has written three volumes of Saturday Science Projects. His designs are remarkably original and thoughtful, explaining the math and science of every experiment…on a level for advanced high school or college students. But our project designers have adapted (hacked) his ideas for you. Construct a motor experiment tool kit with 4 motors, battery pack, potentiometer (to control speed), flexible switches and connectors that will let you master Downie designs: a robot arm, checker catapult, vibrating climbing rings, improbable pendulums, a dancing brush or Boadicea’s Auto Chariot. Then adapt the parts in your own experiments in Inventing Yourself workshops every day. With permission of the author.
