2013 Summer Program
The MAKE Movement does not claim to be all new. It proudly collects the most inspired traditions of doing it yourself. One of those sources, The Boy Mechanic turns 100 this year. In 1913, Thomas Edison, Alexander Graham Bell, Henry Ford, and Orville Wright were the high tech pioneers of promise. And the Young Mechanic (to give it a more modern name) invited a first generation of MAKERS to join the revolution.
Join a week of matched experiments: make balsa airplanes from 1913 and 2013, projects with new lights, projects that spart, casting and 3D printing; make electric motors, self propelled boats and adventures of your own choosing.
Includes both group and individual projects. To understand the power of MAKE, understand how ancient its spirit is.
Batteries and Estes rocket engines included.
