Home is usually a fixed place, a base you return to. But sometimes houses move. Nomads who follow feeding flocks take their houses with them. The Romani have never had a homeland; they travel to follow work as fortune tellers, musicians, or tinkers. The Dutch have constructed houses ready to float as storm or sea level rises.
Build a Yurt and its Mongol family, its horses and its flock. Construct a Caravan, a horse drawn wagon that would have carried a Gypsy across Europe. Construct a Dutch floating house preparing for a future of changing coastlines. During the whole week, join the class in constructing a tent encampment large enough to play in.
