2015 Summer Program

Are you tired of playing the same old games? Do you have your own idea for something new?

Learn computer game programming with “Scratch,” a free beginners’ language designed at MIT. Scratch makes programming easy by replacing typed commands with logic blocks that “snap” together. Create your own interactive stories, animations, games, music, and art – and share your creations on the web.

Each day we will study a different classic game, pick out the key elements and mechanics, and build something different. When you’ve mastered everything Scratch has to offer, design your own game “from scratch” and make something completely new!

You will need an e-mail address (either your own or a parent's) in order to share your work online. Or, you can bring your project home on a USB drive or CD.
