Trees tell stories. Some have appetites for moist or swampy ground. Some favor the Park's dry rocky slopes. Some grow fast; some slow. Each has a place in a healthy woods.
We will explore the Park to discover trees that have been here a hundred years and trees that have arrived very recently…some whom are non-native invaders that disrupt the balance of the woods.
Make a Fandex that tells the story and personality of five different trees. Choose a project: make a bandsaw box – a small simple treasure-keeper that will let you show the beauty of walnut or maple. Or weave a crown of willow shoots. Or make a small cricket bat.
